I like .one extension a lot. plus I got a few offers on my .one domains lately so I am all warm fuzzy about it.

I decided to share some warmth by creating a showcase thread. it would be nice for me to hear your .one domains. who knows maybe we can even trade some.

happened on two LLL .MEN domains. They were upped to $25, which does not look like a big deal, but they are are pretty much on a permanent renewal promo everywhere for $1 or $2, so we're talking a 1000%+ price increase here.

The retail price was always something like that. The $1 or so was just a promotional first year only rate. Although now that FFM TLDs under new management they no longer do first year promotions. The wholesale price is about $10 and can find renewals about $12.50.

Are there any known cases where the renewal was increased while registered without dropping?
I'm not aware of that with .one but it happened to me on a different TLD, so just wanna be sure...

We haven't had this happen with .one. We were actually discussing this a while back, where some .one's have went premium after the drop, but never during an active registration. I can see this happening for example to @ProDomains January and April names if he were to let them go, they are killer names. Dot-one is a stable extension, have not experienced any downside to holding names in it at all. Although we've never seen promos, the pricing is consistent and the registry doesn't pull a fast one on you with renewals or take-backs.

You used to be able to apply the promo to multiple years renewal and go right up to 10 years. I have less than a handful in that TLD, but am renewal-free on them for a long time..

I have to say I really start to like .one - such names would go for hundreds of thousands USD if they would be in .com, while we can still reg their analogues in .one for few bucks in 2018...I find it personally truly amazing

This name, I was thinking usage for a rolling paper company, craft shop, paper towels, toilet paper even a film production company.
But mainly rolling paper. I give them special discount.

Looks like one.com bought by an investing company Cinven. I am not familiar with Cinven nor have I ever heard of them, but seeing as one.com operates the .one registry it is good to be aware of the acquisition. Whatever impact it may have, sure hope its for the good. So far this TLD (.one) has proven to be stable across the board, even if nothing changes it's for the good.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that connection. I've only started dabbling in a very few .one names, but that change could possibly shake things up a little with the extension depending on the direction of the new owner.

didn't own any .one yet, but during a research, I noticed iov.one(iov = internet of value here, not vehicle or voice..), they seems plan to create someting very interesting, ...they said :

• provides a universal protocol for blockchains and wallet users.
• believe in a world where anyone can create their own blockchain and integrate it into a global ecosystem
• IOV builds the first decentralized DNS for blockchains. It is the backbone of the Internet of Values.

so, they are not going to publish another coin or cryptocurrency, they are builing something on top....if they success, I think it will be a nice movement of the .one domainers...
