I have Government.Pro expiring in a couple of days. It's a great keyword, but I just don't know if I want to fork out another $99 to keep it. I'm not currently doing anything with the domain.

Your thoughts?

Keep it. You can sell it for more than $99 within the next year, so you don't stand to lose really.

Edit: I should have included the first year's registration fee. Still, I highly doubt with such a strong keyword that you will make less than $200 when you sell. And there is always development.

I'd give it 1 more year and list it for sale through Afternic which seems to be the better choice.

Good luck!

IMO develop, don't wait for a sale which may never materialize. I don't think one sale here and there is going to add momentum to the TLD.
.pro is not the best extension to speculate... :imho:

Thanks for the input. Based on the few responses here, I'm leaning toward renewing.

I have sold 3 .pros for profit in the last 2 months. I am working on another sale with an interested .pro party.

What was that?... Greater the risk ($99), the greater the reward.

Have you tried selling it??? If you have, did you get any offers???

Have you sold them through auction sites or were you contacted via email? Just curious how the sales took place. Thanks.

Honestly, they were all made by networking here at NP.

Just renewed - thanks everyone :)

Good call in my opinion.

BTW, Videogame.Pro is available, and I would like to move it in the wake of these other high profile .pro sales. PM me if interested.

(Hope that isn't out of line. If it is I will delete.)

Since I'm going gung-ho with the .PRO extension, I also registered ANMIAL.PRO
Seems like it would have a lot of applications.

For a short list of available .PRO domains that I didn't register, check out my sig...

Edit: that should be ANIMAL.PRO I think ;)

You may want to spend a little time in developing the domain. Some of my .pro sites are eaning enough to pay ther annual reg fees.

dotprofan is about as informed a .pro investor as I have found. His comment is worth paying attention to.

has anyone tried whypark for their .pro domains?
Would that help with this domain?

Dotprofan is absolutely right with regard to development. That said, if development is not an option for a given domain, at a given time, I would certainly recommend parking on TrafficZ. In any given month, one or more of my .Pro domains will receive a series of valuable clicks from this service. For example, one day this month, House.pro returned $58.00 USD in clicks. I also like ParkingPanel. (I have no finanacial interest in either of these companies, other than being a customer.) Good luck!

Good choice. I had that name on my list of possible domains to register.
