Caught on the drop. Apparently 'okoge' is Japanese slang for fag hag, but literally refers to the burnt crust of rice that sticks to the bottom of the pot!

Any value here? I'd especially love an appraisal from any Japanese NPers.

That's a great keyword. Lots of search results, especially for foods and restaurants. Try searching "おこげ".
