Steve Jobs final words were revealed a day ago to the public, only 6 words: Oh Wow, Oh Wow, Oh Wow.
Probably minutes after, ohwowohwowohwow.com is regged, along with all other top extensions. .me and .tv are still available if you want 'em.
At least grabbing this forward-thinking phrase is better than everyone who grabs the 'death' domains immediately after someone famous passes away. It infers that Jobs 'saw something beyond beautiful' in his final moments, and I love that possibility.

It will be interesting to see whether this becomes a huge catchphrase in society, due to that possible meaning... such are the ways new popular sayings enter immortality. This may be one of them. That's why so many domainers keep a keen eye out for forward-thinking phrases in addition to forward-thinking new items.

Don't know if it's strange or not, but now I wish I owned ohwowohwowohwow.com...

Oh well, missed it by a day.

:)

The value of a domain, is in the eye of the beholder.

A domain is only worth as much as what any person is willing to pay for it.

Having said that, here are some "Famous last words" that domainers may want to reg (or buy if already taken):

banzai.com

geronimo.com

seeyouinhell.com

ohshit.com

notthebluewire.com

heregoesnothing.com

<dark humor> The article is hiding the fact that behind the shoulders of his beloved ones was a chart board showing that android just surpassed iOS in sales </dark humor>

R.I.P Steve Jobs!

cheers

P.S: note to everybody, please don't rip me a second one because of this.... :)

If Steve had wanted everyone to remain part of his adoring public for all eternity he would not have authorised and participated in the creation of a frank biography (I haven't read it but based on reviews it's not entirely flattering).

I think the greatest honor that one can bestow on a human being is to not put them above the rest of the world but include them in it.

People get ultra-defensive of the dead and in many ways I think this is just a results of the morbid fear of death in which most people lead their lives. This fear would be, I think, the antithesis of what his sister was trying to portray in her eulogy.

Just saying.

lol, i had to re read and re read since you mentioned "the creation of a frank biography"...heck, my name is Frank and i was going like...wtf?? i haven't published my bio yet... lol

i had to throw in the "don't rip me a second one" since this is such a delicate topic....:)

anyway regardless of "should we discuss this topic or not" i think yes...it is not tasteless or degrading, it just helps us to understand and progress...even from a domaining standpoint......

cheers

That's actually what makes a Biography sell.

People buy biographies of famous icons, to get a glimpse of the "Dark Side", the "Hidden Scandals", the "Dirty Laundry", or the "Skeletons in the Closet" if you will.

Talking about achievements, praises, and idolatry, will bore people to death. In fact, they're all probably in Wikipedia. So why should people spend money with it?

It's just like in the movies. The 3-minute sex scenes of Scarlett Johansson are the only reason why people pay 8 dollars to watch the full 2-hour snoozer.
