All NNNNN.com's have been registered a couple hours ago and now is the time to start discussing their value.

First some general guidelines:

1. According to http://www.3character.com/priceguide.html:
1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9 are considered premium numbers. Other lesser high quality numbers include: 4 and 6. Lower quality numbers include the number 0. Premium NNNNN's were registered first, then more than 10k 5N.com were remaining

2. Domains starting with 0 are considered lower quality, while domaings ending with 0 are more round and thus better.

3. Lower numbers are typically more valuable, due to higher amount of possibilities and potential uses

4. Repeating digits are good, most valuable will be the domains with many repeating numbers.

5. Numbers ending in “5″ or multiples of “25″ are a little bit better.

6. Numbers that have special meaning, like zip codes, words on mobile devices, area codes etc. represent higher value.

Post more tips below to compile a complete appraising guide!
Also feel free to post some special numbers for appraisal. not the regular random NNNNN's you've just registered, but something more valuable, like 63400, 12349, 77723..

Current min prices for NNNN.com are around $350-400

Feb 20: 4 days after the buyout the min NNNNN.com prices are now basing around $12-15

I think that anything bought for reg fee in the last two months is probably still worth reg fee. (Some exceptions apply) The significance of a buyout is often overated.

Repped. Just my thoughts.

Germans are big on domains, right now there is urlaub.com at 700K euro on sedo D-:
So German zip codes should be quite valuable

Kuwaiti Postal Codes

If you participated in the buyout frenzy, you may own some! I've posted a list here.

$15 is about the minimum anyone would sell NNNNN.com now, but you can pick the better ones at this price!
I got a quick report here

There weren't many sales yet, but they are picking up slowly and most are private and not reported.

Foreign Rice Farmers Eradicate NNNNN.com's!!

I just checked domain.cn and used google translate to see what the domainers in China were saying. Here's what I found:

The current situation is:
国外米农已经开始批量消灭五数字COM,这是最近几天的情况 : Foreign rice farmers have begun mass eradication of the five figures COM, which is the situation in recent days:

Is this a translation error or something, or is there some reason we are like rice farmers? Anyways, glad to know that the buyout has been getting attention all over the world!

Very interesting to see a NNNNN.com on TDNAM auction format selling for mid $xxx with 19 hrs remaining. I did notice that this use to be a site though, which may be way we're seeing a price tag of this size.

It's also a postal code in Lohne, Germany.

The domain on TDNAM was a personal blog. Nothing special about the blog itself. Looked like it was only up for a few months. Only one wayback image of the blog.

What is of significance is that it is a German zip code.

Examples of Developed NNNNN.com's

One common refrain I hear from the NNNNN.com-naysayers (i.e., all those who missed the boat on the buyout), is that there are no developed NNNNN.com's and nobody is going to want to buy these weird domains.

Well, it's simply not true. I just looked at the first 100 1NNNN.com's, and they are mostly developed websites. About 40 are Marchex-owned US zip code web sites, and the following 20+ are developed for all sorts of purposes, US businesses, Chinese business and social sites, zip-code related businesses, and others.

One thing to note is the interesting use of numbers related to a particular product, like adequate.org using 10015.com because of the ISO 10015 quality assurance standard, and Timberland.com using the popular boot number. There are lots of productive and creative uses for numeric domains!

10008.com Developed Chinese website
10012.com US media business.
10014.com US Business Wiredset Digital Agency
10015.com Adequate.org (ISO 10015 quality assurance standard).
10020.com Developed Chinese website.
10022.com WhatsUpNYC.com NY guide.
10026.com China IT Outsourcing Managed Service).
10035.com HiChina Web Solutions.
10042.com Developed Korean gaming website.
10044.com Roosevelt Island Computer Repair.
10049.com WhatDomains.com
10051.com Developed Chinese website
10054.com NHKJ.gov.cn
10061.com Timberland.com
10069.com Bracha Real Estate Group (Trump Condominiums).
10071.com Chinese Internet Company
10076.com Chinese Film Commentary
10086.com Developed Chinese website.
10088.com Developed Chinese website (www.51688.com)
10090.com Chinese school-related website.
10092.com Developed Chinese website

Somehow this number is listed as a city using the zip code lookup on the usps.com site: http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/zcl_3_results.jsp. :-/

Few sales on sedo with 000
46000.com $299 2007-12-25 SEDO.com
34000.com $1,050 2007-11-21 SEDO.com

I think double zeros should go for $50-100 maybe

Got Italian Postal Codes?

Here's a list

getting a trickle of traffic on my NNNNN.com's. I didn't pick them for any reason other than I personally liked the numbers (and some with no '4' for China). Don't know if it's domainers checking names, or real type ins. No clicks yet. Still feeling good that I snagged a bunch of these short numeric .com's

I just realized why my NNNNN's don't get many clicks. Apparently 95% of the traffic is from China and parked doesn't pay for Chinese clicks. So I'm looking where to park them now :)
Any ideas where chinese traffic is welcome?

Parking options

I am in the process of trying out different services. I have tried godaddy, and have very good success with getting visitors but not great in converting to clicks, part of that is I need better stats on where everyone is coming from specifically. I am getting about $5-10/day on my portfolio of NNNNN.com's and I think even with godaddy I could improve that with better keywords. I'm trying Namedrive now but so far I think they just have stats on general regions (Asia, North America, Europe, etc.) and I need info on specific countries to better set keywords. I will try fabulous next if they accept me.

don't bother with fabulous, they don't accept chinese traffic for ads

I'm thinking around mid $XX now. US zip codes are among the best NNNNN's and since marchex have most of them they are quite rare

You're joking right?

If you have any zip-codes to 150,000 pop areas you'd like to sell me at mid $XX PM me, I'll even be generous and make it high $XX :)
