There are still (and always will be) so many good .infos available you have to be brutal at renewal time - check your parking stats, traffic and backlinks. Then a teaspoon of common sense with regards the extension. And finally think to yourself would YOU pay $$$ for it - or simply find an alternative.

example: I recently sold a .info which was a women's name, moderately common in eastern europe. No traffic, $100 estibot value. But it just looked good , nice name etc. Buyer came along and chased and chased - I sold it for lowish $xxxx. That buyer had no choice - there is only one way to spell a name ..

We all know .infos can sell for $xxxx - but this does not mean that they all have value - even dictionary terms, short names and nice phrases. I just hand-regged dc1(.)info - what's it worth? - well .. 3-4 years from now I would think $200-1000. And it will cost $20 to get me there. So I keep it - but mainly because it just looks right. Don't know who for ..

.infos are much more an investment than .com - you may be renewing for a few years so make sure it is a name you are proud to say you own and someone just HAS to have ... especially since more tlds are coming.

Pretend you deleted all your .infos then had to buy them back for $25 each. Which ones would you buy? Those are the ones to keep.

I analysed who got what today from the dropped .info domains - thought some of you might want to take a look. Works out around 5% of total names dropped (a good 50% of which are total junk anyway like 345-visa-credit-today-approved.info etc.).
