Registered it in 2001 with intention of developing a site offering Pay Per Click Marketing (PPC).

Today, 8 years later there's quite a few companies that offer PPC Professional classes, courses, monthly services, software, etc.

Was contacted today by someone interested in purchasing. Their initial offer is "between $2,500 - $5,000."

Would appreciate your thoughts.

If it's not scam use escrow to sell this domain name. $5000 is more than enough for it, however if you settle at a lower price it would be a good deal anyway.

As other said if its legit... dont expect too much.... $2500-$5000 is more than enough for the domain..
