Had an offer this morning of 4500 Euros for Darts .tv,must of been via Whois as its gone to that email address, it isn't an appraisal scam either, i have replied thanking them for their interest, however the domain nor the site are for sale.

Nice end to 2006 though.

nice solid offer you got there. Instead of letting the potential buyer drift away, counter at something you think is above the value of the name and he may bite, but if he isnt interested you have lost nothing :)

Good luck!

Good point Kev,

Although I belkieve I think along similar lines to Stoneroses - forgive the assumption if I am wrong......but when I really like a name - either for purely personal reasons, or because I think it is worth a whole lot more, my way is not to resspond.......

Not responding is a response aswell is it not....this puts the onus on the buyer.....is this guy interested at all...or am I offering way lesss than what he wants....??

I will double check by emailing the guy to chek thathe got my offer.....still no rressponse....OK , I am walking away from this...or I will increase my offer and see what happens....

That way, the seller haas automatially got the higher offer - which in itself tells the seller he has an interested buyer and negotiations can then begin...

And if the buyer does not bother, Stoneroses has lost nothing...cause he was not interested at the price offered..

Is there anything wrong to this approach??

Sorry Stone...if this is hijacking the thread, let me know and I will staart aa sepearte thread on this theme.

Thanks

Absoloutely fine Millers and spot on, i bought this with the intention of developing and i do have big plans for it,that said, if an offer came in that was just to tempting, i would be neive not to at least consider it.Another factor is that even if someone offered $xx,xxx and there was another .tv i wanted, i couldn't buy it until next year and even then i am not guarranteed to get it, as Enom are not selling any until q1 2007.Add to that Demands .tv strategy and the fact .tv is only going to get more widely acknowledged and accepted, then i really think all the people who gambled with DOT TV will see a return on their investment ,whether that be a monetory gain or a highly succesful site( i suppose the latter = the former).
But which ever, it is a certinly imo, a good time to have .tv domains

And before anyone says anything its my thread, i can do what i want with it nah nah nah :hehe:
