This acronym is the same as OLED, except in Asia they use OELD from what I have read. The plus side is that OELD would also be a typo for OLED! Double bubble IMO.

In asia they also use OLED, OELD is an array of OLEDs. OLEDs are organic light emmiting diodes. While OELD is a display from a collection of a lot of oleds. Nice name just hold on to it. Wait till it becomes really common someting like and LCD.

Just got a rejection from Great Domains on all my OLED domains. It really bugs me that GD cannot think outside the box. It is no wonder they do not have many sales.

Thats true I have got so many tech, domain names. But not one got accepted. Just be patient when the people in greatdomains start hearing about oled/oeld/pled then they will surely list all your domains.

Well because I was way too slow on the English versions of these .tv domain names I decided to grab the japanese IDN's of plasma www.プラズマ.tv and lcd www.液晶.tv.

I was also going to be really clever and follow SKG's fine example and register OLED in Japanese ...but...I can't work out how to spell it!

So, anyway, I'm sure I am going to get knocked a bit for these purchases but I have decided to buy not more than ten IDN's in anticipation of Internet Explorer 7 coming out with IDN compatability.

Anyway, I'll let you guys know how it pans out as I'm sure speculating with IDN's in an already speculative TLD will raise a few eyebrows but, hey, you've got to be in to win.

BTW I think you guys would be amazed how many IDN's are already registered in this TLD! I spent a couple of hours this afternoon checking a lot of popular IDN's and guess what...most were already registered.
