Odd Ideas to promote your website

I know everybody want to get links online. Here are a few ideas that are low cost or no cost to promote your website. EVERY THING Helps in the Promotions Game!!!!

1. Bumper Sticker can be made for next to nothing. Ask your friends, neighbors and co-workers first.

2. Classified Ads in the local paper.

3. A press or news release.

4. Pens, Print put your URL on pens and just forget the pen where ever you write a check.

5. Bags with your URL small business use bags and have to buy them all the time print your URL give to them free or a reduced cost.

6. SIG file are you using your?

7. Return Address on envelops or back of envelops that you send.

8. Printed on your Check.

9. Resturants Ad Menu or Table Place Mats.

10. On your credit card or debit card.

11. Your T-shirt Ft. and Back == Iron-on letters.

12. Your Answering Machine.

13. Make up an interesting Poster for Laundry, Bar any where you can hang it.

14. Here is an odd one. I saw someone put their christmas house lights up spelling out their URL on the roof.

15. The roof of your car. If in a city with high building people looking down will see it.

16. The demolition derby car at the fair.

17. Your e-mail signature.

18. Restroom Ad you know the ones, most are low cost.

i would`nt class press release or email sigs as Odd

A Good list, agree, but none of the techniques can be called odd.
We use some of them, say #14, we did it sponsoring the fireworks show, and our logo was was spelt in the sky. Terrific!

#5 is a really cool thing to do! Especially if you got a GREEN or ECO site! Would have to print on eco friendly bags too.

Yeah, "odd ideas" doesn't seem to fit the rest of the topic here.

When I think of "odd" I think of things like:
1. shaving a domain name into your hair
2. knitting a dog sweater with your domain name in the design
3. crop circles
4. tatoos
5. marching bands spelling it out at halftime on the football field


As for more "normal" promotional ideas:
1. labels or lapel stickers
2. car magnets
3. candle packaging
4. stationary
5. calendars
6. after dinner mints
7. fridge magnets
