Pretty sure those numbers are lagged - I guess the averaging model takes a while to smooth out. Look at Google Trends.

I'm a little higher on this domain than others here.

It's probably worth developing with a timeline of the election, stories, photos, etc... It's really one of those sites where you develop it and never have to touch it again.
