I am looking for some input on my gaming site, See the link in the footer.

Any input on the colour scheme, layout and design.

Other than the gray background, there isn't much wrong with it. The color just doesn't go well with the rest of the site imo. Perhaps a lighter shade, or just a white background would work. Also, the footer looks funny since the width of the body does not stretch all the way to where the footer is. The gap looks odd and confusing. It may be just me though.. I'm on a widescreen monitor.

Also, the banner logo/text seems random and not really focused on 'games'.

yes I dont like the dark grey very much but overall - not bad

Well, it is very user friendly and easy to navigate. I think the lack of color really makes it dull for me. All those grey bars should have been an appealing green instead. It is about 95% white and grey, which is just too ordinary!

Next time you make a design for this, make sure to use colors more!!

4 things you need to do on your site.

1.) Add padding to the top login/register div. You should have it sort of centered instead of being all the way at the top.

2.) On that same "image" that you used for the login you need to adjust your drop shadow because i suggest making it blend in with the rest of the page. So it looks like the background runs up.

Also, why did you use rounded corners on that part but the rest of the site is boxed?

3.) On the footer you should add padding to the left and right so it's not directly on top of the edge of the box.

4.) I would add the same color scheme to the footer as you have in the content area, maybe use the green as a border or something.


Obviously these are all my suggestions but i've been doing web design since 2003 and those are the major things that stand out to me.

I was under going a redesign anyway - So I will be able to incorporate your feedback into the new design
