New Zealand Sign Language was recognized by New Zealand as its third official language in April of 2006. I picked this up from a drop today. I realize that this name is probably limited to the NZ market. With these facts in mind, when offering this name to the organizations who utilize these services, (i.e. national deaf foundation, interpreter services companies etc.) what would you consider to be a reasonable asking price?

Thanks.

I believe it depends on whether you are on the North Island or the South Island.

$1,250
Most of those organizations probably do not have deep pockets. If it is a for-profit company, adjust the price accordingly.

I think that you could think up a meaning for any 4 letter .com and it doesn't make it valuable.
$15-20 to someone on namepros
400-500 to a organization. Just because you have a meaning doesn't mean that they'l buy it. I'd be suprised if you were able to sell it to an organization.

I didn't say the domain was worth $1,250, I responded with what I would ask (I was responding to the posters question).

I am not sure if you correctly read my post. This is a recognized acronym for an official language in the country of new zealand. If you do a search for "New Zealand sign language", the first four of ten results has NZSL in the description. If you search NZSL, the first ten out of ten results are for "New Zealan sign language". So, I did not make up this meaning.

Now, I would imagine that that would make the name more valuable than a "Made up" meaning. Especially in New Zealand, as I said this was a limited market.

"I'd be suprised if you were able to sell it to an organization."

With the info I have provided above, I bet a company that outsources signers for public events, or a private sign language education school would be interested in this name. Do you still disagree?
