NW issue - Possible misreports on auction results

FYI....

There seems to be an issue that has (perhaps just 2 or 3 days ago) cropped up with NW.

The NW system said I lost 2 names yesterday, yet when I do a whois lookup today it shows:

CAT, INC. D/B/A NAMEZERO.COM

as the registrar, yet the whois registrant record is blank.

There are other (at least 30 that I counted) NameZero registrations yesterday where the records are blank, and most of them I noticed had the high NW bids yesterday

I emailed NW support and will post what I have found out from them when (or if) they reply.

Here's some 'blank registrant' NameZero registrations on 9/21 that in my opinion are certain NW captures where the winner's account likely indicated he didn't win the name:

If you were the high bidder on one of these names, and NW system said you lost, it's likely you won the name. Keep in mind that I am theorizing and I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

Backing up 1 day, here's a long list of NameZero's from 9/20 which still have blank registrant records. Check the list to see if you were high bidder at NW and I'll bet your account indicated you lost:

I just got some more info on this matter.

NW did not respond yet to my inquiries, but I just got charged out of the blue today for the 3 names that the NW system indicated I did not win over the last few days.

What this means is, if according to your NW account, NW was not able to get the domain(s) for you for that day (indicated by the dark green "High Bid" rather than the regular green "Won"), you still may have won! It seems there is a problem getting accurate information from NameZero.

This does not mean that all names grabbed by NameZero for NW are going to appear as unsuccesful grabs; but from what I have seen over the last few days, most of them are.

This is very bad in my opinion and shows that NW still has not gotton it together.

I do want to make a final point on this for today, and that is, I feel that ANYBODY reading this right now (yes, I mean you) can start their own domain grabbing service if you have some capital. Do you know how I know this? I know this because Dotster did it! If they can do it, anyone can!

Just got an answer from NW on my email of a couple days ago regarding this matter:

"We had a system error. NameZero domains didn't get put into the
database. We have fixed the problem and placed the domains in your account.

-Support"
