NVMD, besides "nevermind"....

NV is the acronym for the state of Nevada.

So, think "Nevada M.D."

Perhaps a doctor, or a doctor's group/organization in Nevada. :)

Thanks -db- Great catch and advice.

I see things most people don't see. Of course, most of the time it's weird hallucinations, like fairies or little green men, but occasionally I get one that makes sense.

Good luck Peter!

Give me some time and I can put together an appraisal for you tomorrow =), for now I'm going to say great name on a whim, probably worth a good something. I'll give you a figure tomorrow, remind me, keep it posted up top.

A very nice catch there Peter. I am sure you will get good bucks for this name, its a good 4 letter domain that makes some sense. I could also think that some new social networking site might like this name.... i have a hunch!! Maybe some big company might set up the next myspace or orkut or this domain. Anyways, good luck with it!

$60's a good price for just the domain... that's probably what you'd get for it wholesale.

Market it right and you could get $200 maybe... develop it into a Nevada M.D. site and the value will shoot up! Good buy.

**Appraisal**

I'll appraise one domain name if there is a list of my choosing. If you would like more PM me and I woudn't mind doing appraisals of this quality for $NP. I only have so much free time you know =).

Appraising: www.nvmd.com

I'll appraise using the RVER (Research, Value, Estimate, Reccomendation) Method

Please feel free to use this method when appraising others, if you copy my outline please give me credit by letting people know to visit StateExams.Org. Thanks!

---- Research ----

- Domain Availability - (Using http://domainsite.com)

Domain Availability shows your potential selling power of the domain. If the domain is so popular that people would register even TLD's of lower value, then that shows strong selling power should you decide to sell it on the name alone.

Below is your Availability Report...

nvmd.com: Taken
nvmd.net: Available
nvmd.org: Available
nvmd.eu: Available
nvmd.in: Available
nvmd.biz: Available
nvmd.info: Available
nvmd.us: Available
nvmd.ws: Available
nvmd.bz: Available
nvmd.cc: Available
nvmd.tv: Available
nvmd.us.com: Available
nvmd.eu.com: Available
nvmd.web.com: Available
nvmd.name: Available
nvmd.ag: Available
nvmd.sc: Available
nvmd.la: Available
nvmd.hn: Available
nvmd.cn: Available

(I see that you are the only REG of this acronym. That doesn't show to much selling power from a re-seller's point of view, in fact none at all, at least as far as selling on this point is concerned.)

- KeyWord Selector Tool - (Using http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/)

The KeyWord Selector Tool is an awesome utility found at the site listed above for seeing everyday use of keywords or terms. If your term(s) has an everyday use of more then 1,000 searches that will usually raise the value of your name to most people IMHO. I usually grade keywords +$2.50 every 5000 searches done that month for it.

-No suggestions for nvmd.

(No searches for the ACRONYM nvmd, ouch!)

2672 nevermind

(For it's possible meaning there was 2672 searches, I'd count that as worth $1.50+ value to the name so far. It's not bad, but not great either)

- Relevence of Terms(s) [If multiple keyWords, or 3-4 LETTER based] -

If your domain name had multiple keywords this section is the research done to see the different potential meanings your domain name could have and the value IMHO I think would be the best way to sell it on versus others.

Nevermind is typed a decent amount of times, but I'm not so sure what it could be relevent to. Just thinking on my own I can't really think of anything it can be used to market that there isn't already a lot of competition in. You could market it for a blog about just posting things, but you would want to get the keyword nevermind.com along with it, to be more effective in my opinion.

Taking a look at nevermind reveals...

nevermind.com: Taken
nevermind.net: Taken
nevermind.org: Taken
nevermind.info: Taken
nevermind.name: Taken
nevermind.biz: Taken
nevermind.cn: Taken
nevermind.us: Taken
nevermind.ws: Taken

nevermind.bz: Available
nevermind.cc: Available
nevermind.tv: Taken
nevermind.us.com: Available
nevermind.eu.com: Available
nevermind.web.com: Available

The term nevermind it's self seems to be popular as a registered TLD, being a one word phrase and all. What this means though, is that instead of trying to buy there names which will be expensive for you, you can offer your ACRONYM to boost the sales of one of the nevermind.TLD owners, since it will fit perfect for them. Let me see what they did on there sites and write a bit about what they are doing, if anything...

going to nevermind.com brings you to http://duh.com/

Seems this person likes to buy domain names to forward to his nice 3 letter.com, he might buy your domain name because of this, bringing up your value potentially here. He seems to be the only person using it though, everyone else seems to just be holding onto the names in hopes of sale without use, as nevermind.biz shows.

http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/NVMD

By the way the official ACRONYM for NVMD is indeed nevermind, you can use this to help your future sales of it to them.

As far as any obvious relevance to the word, I can't think of anything that comes to mind. So I woudn't place much value here.

- Google Searches (http://google.com) -

Google Searches shows the use of the word in everyday language and how likely someone is to see the word therefor and consider your name for sale or for personal use. Google searches of multiple terms are done using quotes now to accurately see exact uses of the phrase and just the two terms together.

Results 1 - 10 of about 12,000,000 for nevermind. (0.10 seconds)
Results 1 - 10 of about 11,700,000 for "nevermind". (0.06 seconds)
Results 1 - 10 of about 34,200 for "nvmd". (0.48 seconds)

The acronym seems to be used decentely throughout sites, but nothing to special apparently. The term and word nevermind exactly written and not is used an incredible amount of times, making your name valuable again to nevermind.TLD owners. Especially since you own the official acronym.

- Sites Found Using the Name (Terms) -

The purpose of this section is to examine sites that use your name. If there are sites already using your name with TLD's of higher or lesser value then yours, your name has good potential selling power to those companies.

http://www.nevermind.ca/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nevermind
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000003TA4/102-8328039-3664945?v=glance&n=5174

Looks like nevermind was the name of Nirvana's Album. Could offer the name to them perhaps or if future albums use the term.

All the top searches exect for the .ca, refer to the band when searching for "nevermind".

Now when searching for "NVMD" it's self these sites showed up.

http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/NVMD
http://vnboards.ign.com/shrouded_isles_discussion_board/b22246/96381724/p1/?0
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=nvmd
http://www.thottbot.com/?ccb=1&v=98781

There doesn't appear to be any businesses using it, but it does seem to be a popular phrase used in forums if they show up first. Popular enough to be in the Urban Dictionary as well. This means people are using it, and since a lot of gaming sites are first to show up, it might sell well as an ACRONYM perhaps to a game group. They won't offer you much money though...

- TLD - (Top-Level Domain) Value

My assessment is based on my personal experience in selling domain names.

In general the TLD's below have more positive value then other TLD's. Most other TLD's IMHO have negative value to most general names.

.COM names +$3.00 or + 3% of total value

.NET names +$1.50 +1.5% of total value
.ORG names +$1.00 +1% of total value
.BIZ names +$.20 or +.20% of total value
.US names +$.10 or +.10% of total value
.CC names +$.5 or +.5% of total value
.INFO names +$.1 or +.1% of total value

Though the value of the TLD's is also dependent on the name and the use of the TLD with it.

In most cases however, the .COM, .NET and .ORG are the way to go for general purpose names.

(You own the .COM which is the best one here in my opinion, no other TLD's make sense with that acronym)

---- Value ----

Domain Availability Value - >-$10

Pricing Guide: No other TLD's were regged, while nevermind was regged a lot, this section just refers to the NVMD domain it's self and other TLD's.

KeyWord Selector Value ->+$1.50

Pricing Guide: No searches at all for NVMD, and few for nevermind, I'll give it to you on this one though.

Relevance of Terms Value ->+$10

Pricing Guide: The ACRONYM nvmd, is very relevent to the word 'nevermind' but only to that word, so it gets minimal value here on that account. Since there were good reg's on the TLD's of nevermind that raises the value here slightely.

Google Searches Value- >+$10

Pricing Guide: As far as 34,200 for NVMD is concerned thats not that strong, but the 12 million for nevermind is, notice again how the registered TLD's reflect the google searches on this one. Usually the more use of the term the more chances someone will register it and the bigger your market to sell is, and therefor raises the value here. Because of it's marketability to nevermind registered TLD's I give it moderate value here.

Sites found using the name Value ->$+2.00

Pricing Guide: The site http://www.nevermind.ca/, seems your best bet as a site that seems big to sell to, and to refer to when selling your name, everything else seems kind of weak, So not much value here. Most of the registered TLD's appear to be speculation registrations, which means you can sell to speculators though :xf.love:

TLD Assesment Value ->+$3

Pricing Guide: I simply give $3 base value for having a .COM that matches well with it. This is the value given from the REG fee basically.

---- Estimated Value ----

Final Value:$16.50 to mid $$

---- Recommendation----

My estimates are very conservitive and again from a resellers point of view. I think this is a speculation domain really.

I don't think the name is as good as other people are saying it is. Research I did shows it's a decent reg, but nothing special since it's market is small and only to users of nevermind. It's only selling advantage is to the Regged users of the nevermind.TLD's, since that is the acronym for it. I don't think it's worth selling on SEDO, and I don't think it was the $60 REG IMHO, sorry.

I recommend selling it, or you can hold onto it if you would like.

Good luck with your domain name.

- Joe

You are allowed to use this appraisal to sell your domain name and I hope you do so. It's completely free of charge or problems! I do ask if your nice like me =), to let people know about StateExams.Org if they need information on passing state exams or know a state licensing business. Though it isn't required.
