The fear of numbers . . . This is an actual phobia. Not a personal phobia though:) NumberPhobia.com is still available, and I thought about snagging it. Literally the same amount of letters in numero and number, but NumeroPhobia means the fear of numbers officially . . . ArachnoPhobia.com is better than the fearofspiders.com and if my eyes didn't fails me they have the same amount of letters.

So NumeroPhobia.com . . .

I highly recommend avoid to pair words from different languages.

You didnt get the point.
NumeroPhobia = mix of 2 language = no sense
Numero > spanish word for Number
In latin they say Numerus, in greek sounds like "arifmos" (from here we say "arifmetika" in russian).
It could be spanish brandable or whatever, but in spanish we dont write "ph" > Phobia is Fobia.
It may not make sense to you. And it may be a garbage domain. It may drop in a year or two. However, it is a real phrase. I speak English. A tiny amount of Spanish. I have taken Latin before. NumeroPhobia does not and did not fail to make sense to me.

Select keyword that have strong commercial value. This one, it doesn't have. However, -phobia domains with the right pairing are quite popular.

claustrophobia.com - sold for 10000$

claustr(um) - latin ; phobia - greek

Exactly. The main difference is that this one has over 3 million results on google, but numerphobia around 10k.

I don't really believe this name has any luck, but if i were end-user, i would select mathphobia.com or numberphobia than this one.
And you may be correct. I think in the US math phobia would def be solid. And numerophobia may be garbage.

Here is the thing, I hate when the old time domainers come around with their do as I say mentality. Or when they act as if their way is the only way. That kind of smug I am better than you attitude. (I am not saying that is you by the way!) That mentality is unhelpful and it happens from time to time.

So I said that because, I am in academia. I teach. If I were going to use a phobia it would be an academic phobia. I am not saying math and number phobia are bad because I don't think they are bad! I am saying the dismissal of an academic term so easily is a curious thing. Yes NumeroPhobia may suck. It may never do anything but drop. I just think dismissing it the way you are is not what an end user would do. And I wouldn't sell it for $20 . . . needs to be more:)

Man, i was there before you. I have spent thousands hours searching and searching about -nice phobia keyword. I didn't find any ''wow'' case and simply carry on searching elsewhere.

This is a great point. When thinking psychologically I do not know anyone with NumeroPhobia. Even I myself get nervous at times if I don't have my space. Not a word of disagreement.

But this is what you fail to consider imo . . . I would have thousands of dollars if I had a dollar for every time I heard, My mom isn't good at math I won't be good in math . . . or some variation of that statement. I never hear, my mom can't read so I won't be able to read. Anyone with kids or in academics will attest to what I just said! In the US at least we allow kids to suck in math, unfortunately. I think math is simple! Math is required to get through high school. So while kids may not "fear" numbers per say they fear the concepts. That is where NumeroPhobia comes in.

Anyways NumeroPhobia as a domain may flop, but to dismiss it so easily is a shame!

I get it . . . I went with numerophobia bc in the US math is not a strength and there are places that specialize in math tutoring!!

Yes, we can agree we are not into $xxxx area here.
Numerophobia. Maybe has some value, maybe hasnt.
But it is clear medical term.

Someone who has fear of numbers will type: "fear of numbers", and find numerophobia (not numberphobia) because it is official term.

Just want to say its interesting domain name and nice try.
Unexpectedly get involved in linguistic discussion, but always good to see some debate. :)
Good luck with numerophobia!
