**Appraisal**

I'll appraise one domain name if there is a list of my choosing. If you would like more PM me and I woudn't mind doing appraisals of this quality for $NP. I only have so much free time you know =).

Appraising: NTPR.COM

I'll appraise using the RVER (Research, Value, Estimate, Reccomendation) Method

Please feel free to use this method when appraising others, if you copy my outline please give me credit by letting people know to visit StateExams.Org. Thanks!

---- Research ----

- Domain Availability - (Using http://domainsite.com)

Domain Availability shows your potential selling power of the domain. If the domain is so popular that people would register even TLD's of lower value, then that shows strong selling power should you decide to sell it on the name alone.

Below is your Availability Report...

ntpr.com: Taken
ntpr.net: Taken
ntpr.org: Taken

ntpr.info: Available
ntpr.name: Available
ntpr.biz: Available
ntpr.cn: Available
ntpr.us: Available
ntpr.ws: Available
ntpr.bz: Available
ntpr.cc: Available
ntpr.tv: Available
ntpr.us.com: Available
ntpr.eu.com: Available
ntpr.web.com: Available

(With only 3 TLD's Taken, it's value here will be neutral in the grand scheme of things IMHO)

- KeyWord Selector Tool - (Using http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/)

The KeyWord Selector Tool is an awesome utility found at the site listed above for seeing everyday use of keywords or terms. If your term(s) has an everyday use of more then 1,000 searches that will usually raise the value of your name to most people IMHO. I usually grade keywords +$2.50 every 5000 searches done that month for it.

KeyWord Selector found...

No suggestions for ntpr.

(That means no one this month checked for the ACRONYM ntpr, which will actually lower your value here.)

- Relevence of Terms(s) [If multiple keyWords, or 3-4 LETTER based] -

If your domain name had multiple keywords this section is the research done to see the different potential meanings your domain name could have and the value IMHO I think would be the best way to sell it on versus others.

Since this is a 4-Letter based domain, I started to do some research of possible things this could stand for including sites that already use it, as I will list in the next section

- National Transplantation Pregnancy Registry (NTPR)
- Nuclear Test Personnel Review (NTPR) Program
- The NTPR Project - Nursing Theory, Nursing Practice, Nursing Research.

It's official Acronym Definition is below...

NTPR Nuclear Test Personnel Review

(So it has some uses thats good, it's not completely useless then. It's relevent to Nuclear Test Personnel Review. But is that something marketable to business or something searched often? Lets Find out)

KeyWord Selector Test on Nuclear Test Personnel Review Yeilds...

973 Nuclear test
0 Personal Review

So there are some searches for the terms Nuclear and Test, but nothing on Personal Review, or the whole term together for that matter, giving no value Relevence wise to that term, even if that is what it means. After all, if no one is searching for it, it's like trying to make up a new word, scruffytendious, and you give it an Acronym STIOS. If no one searches for STIOS or uses it, can you really count that as a word of value and relevance to people?

- Google Searches (http://google.com) -

Google Searches shows the use of the word in everyday language and how likely someone is to see the word therefor and consider your name for sale or for personal use.

Results 1 - 10 of about 58,500 for ntpr. (0.57 seconds)

(Not an amazing amount of sites that use it but still not bad, the acronym is popular enough to show up on 58,500 sites. Shows for some so-so market for the word.)

- Sites Found Using the Name (Terms) -

The purpose of this section is to examine sites that use your name. If there are sites already using your name with TLD's of higher or lesser value then yours, your name has good potential selling power to those companies.

As found in previous appraisals I found the following sites of value that use the term.

http://www.dtra.mil/Toolbox/Directorates/td/programs/nuclear_personnel/index.cfm
http://www.tju.edu/ntpr/
http://www.temple.edu/NTPR/
http://www.ntpr.org/

(Those are 4 major looking sites that actively use words and the Acronym NTPR for there business. This shows great selling power here for your name raising it's value here to re-sellers)

- TLD - (Top-Level Domain) Value

My assessment is based on my personal experience in selling domain names.

In general the TLD's below have more positive value then other TLD's. Most other TLD's IMHO have negative value to most general names.

.COM names +$3.00 or + 3% of total value

.NET names +$1.50 +1.5% of total value
.ORG names +$1.00 +1% of total value
.BIZ names +$.20 or +.20% of total value
.US names +$.10 or +.10% of total value
.CC names +$.5 or +.5% of total value
.INFO names +$.1 or +.1% of total value

Though the value of the TLD's is also dependent on the name and the use of the TLD with it.

In most cases however, the .COM, .NET and .ORG are the way to go for general purpose names.

(Since you have the .COM, depending on it's use of the ACRONYMS, you can safely assume +3% or +$3.00 to the value of the name from owning this TLD.)

---- Value ----

Domain Availability Value - >$0

Pricing Guide: Neutral position here for selling

KeyWord Selector Value ->$-10

Pricing Guide:No searches at all for NTPR, and it's most commonly used relevent meaning had only somewhat decent searches under 1000 for Nuclear Test and none for personal review or the whole term together. I see no value in keywords here, lowering it's value significantly.

Relevance of Terms Value ->$0

Pricing Guide: While the term is relevent to Nuclear Test Personal Review, there are no searches for that making it's official Acronym use 'useless' for business as it stands currently. The other popular use of it however, the National Transplantation Pregnancy Registry, if that picks up as a commonly used phrase could raise your value of Relevance, so to be safe I'll grade neutral here for you. +$0.

Google Searches Value- >+$5

Pricing Guide: Decent amount of sites with the terms, I've seen better though. Your market is in the 50,000 range, so there will be limited buyers, and it will probably be harder to sell.

Sites found using the name Value ->$20

Pricing Guide: 3 major sites using the name will raise it's value. Although they appear to be organizations, there is still re-sell value here.

TLD Assesment Value ->$3

Pricing Guide:Standard .com +$3 TLD Value, which benefits you the most on a low $ domain name.

---- Estimated Value ----

Final Value:$18-mid $$

---- Reccomendation ----

This name is not going to make you quick money anytime soon, I suggest selling it ASAP to a re-seller, or try selling to those companies, not worth trying to market on SEDO or any major domain market, so I woudn't waste to much money promoting it.

Good luck with your domain name.

- Joe

-License-

You are allowed to use this appraisal to sell your domain name and I hope you do so. It's completely free of charge or problems! I do ask if your nice like me =), to let people know about StateExams.Org if they need information on passing state exams or know a state licensing business. Though it isn't required.

LOL... the first few lines of the appraisal are more sort of an advertisement!

This is another 4 letter domain and these domains are usually going for around loww xx nowadays, so i guess thats it, however, as stated above as well, you might want to try and contact the owners of the .net and .org for a better price.

I don't know about this one. What if the registrant owned all TLDs and have them privetly reg'd. Then that would screw the appraisal.

Am in no rush to sell though, i think i'll sit on it a while.

i've done a bit of hunting today also, may be NT Password Recovery is a good way to go??

:)

Didn't think about NT password recovery, perhaps. About the advertisement thing, I like to do in depth appraisals most of the time instead of just one word answers so you see why I came up with a figure. In return all I ask for if your feeling nice, is to donate $NP or visit my site stateExams.Org, I think it's fair =). But you don't have to :hehe:

Concerning this, I took that into account. However I will mention that into my general appraising outline. I did think about that though. You would just be fooling yourself if you bought everything, that is why I do a google search as well of the words. Usually the TLD's will be bought a lot if it's a commonly used phrase, as keyword Select and google searches will show. I use both methods to check and balance each other, if something is regged a lot, but there is no google searches it cancels it's self out in my opinion.
