NSPCC Charity Event Tommorow! All Welcome

NPGEEK CHARITY AUCTION EVENT!​

I would like to tell you about a charity event being help tommorow (30th) in the NamePros Chat room.
Firstly, i would like to tell you what the NSPCC is and what they do:
"The NSPCC's (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) purpose is to end cruelty to children. FULL STOP."
I don't know about you but we feel very strongly on this subject and also feel it is important to support such causes during Child Awareness.

The Event!​

Held in the auction room of NP chat.
The event is mainly based around an auction however, we will include many give aways and more of a party-buzz atmosphere.

The event will START at 10PM GMT+1 so 5PM EST.

Now then, the event will be composed of

A DOMAIN AUCTION
(Domains will be added to the que at http://www.npgeek.com/auction?add (will open 30 mins before auction)
The que is viewable at http://www.npgeek.com/que.php )

GIVEAWAYS
Yep, plenty of giveaways including domain registrations hostings and plenty more, it's well worth taking a look!

SERVICE + PRODUCT AUCTIONS
We will be auctioning off E-products and services (possibly even some physical products) to raise as much as we can for the NSPCC.



Where will 100% of the donations and proceeds* go?
-Activities to end cruelty to children
* Services directly for children and families
* Child protection helplines and websites
* Work in partnership with other organisations to develop child protection policies and to provide services
* Public awareness, education adn motivation to take action
* Professional training on safeguarding and child protection
* Research on the prevalence, causes and effects of child abuse

As you can see a worthy cause!!!
All donations and proceeds* will be donated in-full to the NSPCC.

I sure wasn't expecting iNoob.com to sell for $132, but it all goes to a good cause so no big deal. How about Scott and the $100 hat?

Next time please give a weeks notice or replace the normal NP auction with a charity one.

I'd been food shopping a few days ago. My bank account has 5p (9 cents/4.5NP$) in it, my PP $0 and I have a massive 20NP$. I would've sold a domain(s) beforehand or bought less ice cream and pepsi if I'd known!!

You'd probably have got more people and made more $$$ for the NSPCC too.

Other than that it was good fun. Some good names and plenty of surprises (iNoob & the hat being the best!). Good work guys. :tu:

18.vg - I sold that for 1800 NP$ (donated to the charity) but I don't remember who won, and haven't heard from anybody yet, so would the winner please give me a shout after you paid Morph/Flub, and when you are ready for the transfer at iDotz.net

I too have to say well done to Morph and Flubber!! It was nice that you guys took the initiative to plan this. I also agree that there should be more charity auctions... and a little more notice would probably help out a lot in getting more members there.
