NP user "jakewright" is a scammer

Hey,

I recently paid $75 for "unique" tutorials for GoTutorials.com to the NamePros user "jakewright". Avoid him. The tutorials (all of them minus a few Photoshop tutorials) were all either A. exact copies of other sites' tutorials (with the other sites' images included) or B. extremely close copies.

I'm filing a PayPal complaint. I also gave him negative reputation and TR here.

Ugh.

I don't think he'll want to share his side of the story - he knows he scammed me. I'd really like to recieve a refund, though, so it'd be great if jakewright could post here with an explanation. I'm sending him a PM.

Other than to judge from previous transactions and ratings etc, its hard to say who you can do business with wihout falling to a scam... I don't understand, I suppose its based on trust here... bit like most other places too.

But anyway, do you think he will refund you - or someone else? How does that work?

Has anyone told him about this thread? If yes, and yet he doesn't respond here (meaning he has nothing to back himself up with, pretty much admitting guilt) - then will namepros taken some kind of action against him?

i think we need to listen to both party, if jakewright doesn't response to this thread means he's guilty. N i agree that dealing with internet trade, we must exercise extra caution and ready for any scam.

Yes, I told him about this thread in a PM the other day. NamePros can't and shouldn't take any action against him.

If in fact he did scam you, he could be banned from NamePros...

Well, I think if he doesn't respond - which seems unlikely now... then NamePros should put some kind of "Warning" sign on every post he makes or PM he sends - like a marker against his account so that people are weary of him. That marker should remain until he has proven himself not be a scammer.

Just an idea.

I think if he had something to say then he would've already done so. Who knows, maybe he doesn't have Internet access?! Anyway I wonder is NP staff have been notified and whether if any action will be taken?!

justice delayed is justice denied as well.

i added some rep for GoTutorials.com inspite of what happened he still very patient dealing with this matter and given lots of chances to the person in question.

This post is intended to serve as the warning. jakewright was last online on the 15th, according to his profile. He most likely saw this post and didn't take any action, as I sent him a PM informing him of this post and giving him an opportunity to respond. I can't be sure, though.
