As most of you know this forum offers the possibility to share it's user revenues with members but very strange, my view show up in adsense but I don't ever see any clicks or earnings from it.
Do you get earnings from this?
I deleted this option today because I fear that they might delete my acc for invalid clicks! >:(

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

The NP adsense revshare has been working for me. Granted, clickthrough is very low, but that's to be expected I think in a forum format like ours.

I think it works.
Though the clickthru is low, it's an extra income.

I'm not saying it doesn't.
But I'm not getting any CPM and I don't know why.

I identified this as a channel and the "tracking" is there. The clickthrough rate is just under half of my overall average, but this is the only forum on which I have code. So, it does work--just don't expect to get rich...

ok, If you say so I will leave it on, just concerned because I get views but no credit for them...

You don't get $ for views, only for clicks...
Working fine over here, not getting rich off the revenue sharing, but it is a nice little addition for sure :)

Ok, I get it then.
I thought that it's abnormal to get view but no credit.
But I realize now that you have to get 1-2 clicks to get credited.
I added it again.

this thread reminded me to finally set up channels so i can track them more closely, I've had my adsense running here since you coudl first do it, and i have noticed a small increase, nothing major, but every few cents counts :)

Brian

Not going to get rich from it but a few cents every now and then adds up. After a few months or so you can probably reg a domain from your Namepros earnings.

I did check with Google before I added my publisher ID to the system and they confrmed that it does not violate its Current TOS (emphasis on the Current). You never know what google decides on in the next few months.

Three things

1:
2. You must be a NamePros member for 30 days and have at least 50 total posts within the forum to participate in Revenue Sharing. Once you reach that qualification, your ads will have a chance to display on all posts you have ever participated in the past.

As soon as your account reaches that qualification, ads will be shown on all threads you have participated in. artkreator, your account would have just started in ad sharing two days ago.

2. Adsense channel data takes two days to display.

3. CTR is generally low on a forum, so if you only have a couple hundred impressions it's possible you could get zero clicks. CTR averages out over the long term.

Thanks!

Can't stress how important channel data is as it has alerted me a number of times to certain of my pages going down for the count as far as Google being able to pick out ads for them, meaning it was time for me to re-tweak the content to get some new ads up!

Just as a side note, I noticed the CPC of clicks from NP has increased recently... thanks for talking about expensive topics you guys ;)
