A slightly odd sounding request but a really useful idea.

I think NP needs a clock near the top menu, where it's always visible, that shows a standard NP time that we can all use as a reference point instead of this mess with timezones and summer time.

In place of "midnight EST" or "9PM GMT", we can just say "6PM NP time". It'd save a lot of time and energy when trying to work out when an auction closes, live event times, etc.

I'd suggest the timezone where the server is located as being a good NP standard time™
Oh, and label the clock something like "NP time is now X:XXPM", so everyone knows what it's for.

Just an idea to make life a little easier. :)

Yeah great idea, also a page should be made that has all the time zones and how they compare to the 'NP Time'.

Or just make a countdown to all events always present.
So timezone matters even less.

Auction in 3 years, 97 months, 382612 weeks, 231 days, 1243 hours, 435 minutes, and .2 seconds.

Yer i could see this being very helpful.
Things can get very complicated with all these diffrent time zones

I think a NP time would just make things even more confusing as it would just add one more time that people need to remember. I think the countdown idea is a great idea, but figuring out the timezones is not really that difficult, as RJ always lists the times in EST or PST...

It's not really the live auction that is a problem though. It is threads in the auction section that have people confused.
