Maybe create an $NP lottery?
1 ticket costs 10 NP$ - people buy in, all money goes to winner.
Make the drawings once a week for big pots.
Make the system to that everyone wins every time.
Example: I buy lottery ticket with 10 NP$. Get a unique #. This # gets stored into a MySQL database (or whatever database you use) along with the username. At the end of the week, all the unique #'s are stored into an array and a simple script will randomize the selected number. Person gets PM saying he has won.
This has been attempted by many people in the contests forum but it seems to fail eveytime. But if this system was built into the site, then people wouldn't be as hesitant to by in.
