I was brainstorming with a few other members in the chat today about a program I could develop in Visual Studio .NET. The idea of this program is to send a message to the chat every 2 hours (minimum) that would advertise their domain/website/etc. There would be a great deal of protection in this program, to easily block spammers. The main method that would be used is that there would be a seperate program in which you could disable other member's privs to use the bot.
This idea got bitterly shot down.
The arguments from the member's that didn't like this idea was mainly that they didn't want advertising in the chat when you could do this in the forum.
I see the obvious reason for this argument, but the chat is another prime way to advertise.
After a bit more brainstorming, I developed an idea where you could literally 'buy' the message credits with NP$. The program would check for your current message credits and use it when sending the messages.
This would completely stop the spamming, because you would be paying for this prime advertising.
Comments...suggestions...? They are much appreciated.
Thanks,
ralxz
(PS: If this system would to be put in place, I would have to coordinate with forum and server admins to correctly set up the database for this feature)
