Hi,

I've been dabbling with domain names for about a year now, made the usual noob mistake of buying 10-20 bad domain names, although recently I've bought a few nice domains which could be turned into real businesses.

I suppose my problem is that I read about making money from clicks and my ears prick up but it doesnt seem a huge amount of money (I hear figures of $70-$100 dollars a month for successful domains), times that by 10 domains i suppose its ok, but I could earn alot more than that with a real business.

Im not necessarily a 'computer person', but I can learn anything if the money is good. the question is, is it good money? parking/development, and clicks?

Any general advice for someone like me who is unsure about either domain developing for profit or just starting a real online business?

I think you would be very lucky to register a new domain name and make $70-$100 a month on it. I am not saying that it is impossible, but you would have better luck with the lottery.

On the other hand, it is possible to build a website that can generate that much income, month after month. It does take work, but if you are willing to put in the time, it can be done.

Most names that make a ton of PPC have been taken a long time ago. That doesn't mean they don't exist (as new trends and search terms come out) but they are rare.

Go to the Domain Newbies forum and do some reading there. . . so you don't waste your money on crappy domains.

Don't waste your money on crappy domain names. The best way is to build a website and by doing that you will be having a real business. All you have to do is put more efforts.:blink:
