Noob says hello

Hi all

Looks like a great site you have here. Glad I found it.

I have never dealt in domain names before. Is it still possible to make money out of dealing in domain names? It seems to me you would be very lucky indeed to find a 3 letter or other good generic name. Do the people who deal in domain names full-time have their own closely guarded ways of hooking these?

I may dip my toe in and try to find a couple of decent ones.

Before you buy anything, I suggest reading through these forums for about a month and get a feel for what things are worth. I made the mistake of going right out and getting domains and I got hung on them, but learned my lesson after I found this place.
