No .com .net .blah...

Would be nice if ICANN approves domain like ABC as a name without the extension of .com/net/org/mobi...blah blah...

That's unrealistic. The extension's are very usefull...

This would imply just one domain/Website per word, phrase, and/or number.
It would be far too restrictive IMHO

As to the other post, Websites will always need an address.
Leaving everything to search engines is not practical.
