New findings from online ad network Chitika confirm it's anything but lonely at the top. According to the study, the top listing in Google's organic search results receives 33 percent of the traffic, compared to 18 percent for the second position, and the traffic only degrades from there.

No surprises here and IMO, pretty "lite" - would be more interesting if they'd looked at some other important variables, like authorship markup, blended search, type/intent of query, etc.

They don't have it graphed out that I noticed, but I'm sure it's still better to be #11 than #10.

I rank #1 for a certain keyword. I get 60% of traffic.

I've usually heard that 80% of users do not leave the first page of results.

I think it might depends on keyword phrase and Authority sites at top. When a Big site is at first 5 positions people tend to click on the authority site like Wikipedia at #4 than unknown site at #1 and #2.
