It took me some convincing, but I do see value in acquiring at least one NNN.io domain. Right now the LLL.io are selling quite a bit. But remember, LLL's have 19,683 combination whereas NNN's there are less than 1000. Ontop of that the Chinese want numbers right now more than letters, so there's more demand. $35 is a step reg fee, but I still recommend believers in NNN buy at least one and throw it in their portfolio for a year to see what happens.

There are currently 504 of 999 left to buy. Please see availability list below. The odd thing is that quite a few 4's and 0's have already been taken out. Not sure why anyone would leave the premiums and take the rest, but better for whoever is looking to reg some NNN's.

I think price is biggest concern for buyouts. Chinese have jumped on to only cheap hand regs like .xyz, .top etc. Cumulative price matters when buying and selling is progressing in bulk. No other ccTLD with such a high price have become successful except .tv which has explicit advantage of familiarity.

I agree with you, reg fee is pricey considering that the same amount can get you other multiple domains. However, the 3L.io seem to be moving and there are over 17,000 combinations there. But 3N.io only has a max of 1000, so it should technically pick up here.

I'm actually juggling the idea of taking out the rest of the 3N.io just because if sales of 3L.io pick up, then odds are the 3N.io will do the same and in time they'll all be gone. Then 2016 will be a big year for the extension. But I need to see 3 to 5 NNN or LLL selling $100+ every 1-2 days to justify it.

The LLL.io Flippa sales above don't look like random letters, most are words or have meaning, or double letters. Must still be a lot of random LLL.io available, like with NNN.io

I too am surprised all NNN.io aren't regged, even with the steep reg fee. One day they might just all go quickly. Still some nice numbers left, the 'io' is easy to type on a keyboard. With <1000 they won't last forever.

Yeah your right, they are either words or patterns of some sort. The people that sell .io should drop the price down by 50%, or better yet 75%, compete with .com. Those numbers would be gone in the blink of an eye if that happened.

Even at $20 each, I would take 20 more .io right now. Last time we were at 472 out of 1000 left, now there's 469 left. These are the most recent registrations:

311, 339, 993

To clean out the 3N's, it would be less than $16,500. If I was one of the people that bought some 4N-5N .com or .net and sold them for $5K+, that's what I would invest back into right now.

1 4N.com that cost $8, turned into $5-20k and then acquiring 469 3N.io, don't think you can go wrong. Plus you would cause the price to move up and start buyers looking at 4N.io

In a few weeks or months we might all wish we had taken out a loan or found the money to buyout the remaining NNN.io today. With some of the budgets the Chinese investors have, it would be nothing for them. They could all be gone overnight at any time. In the last few months I've watched them take out short .co numeric and letter patterns in huge batches like nothing. Back in May I should have regged all the NNNN.co that were available, only got a few dozen now they are all gone and selling in $50 to $250 range for the stronger numbers and patterns.

LLL .io are selling because this extension is popular among startups.

I don't see a lot of startups using 3N domains unless it's 411 .io or something else that makes sense.

If Chinese start ups catch on to using .io, they will like to use numbers. Once something like that happens it's too late and they'll all be gone quick. I believe .io is popular because some see it as representing the 1's and 0's of coding, so that is applicable all over the world.

I mean Chinese investors, 46% of only 999 are still available. This thread is 1 month old.. a month ago only 50% of the 999 were registered. That's only 38 names in one month (1 reg per day) even NNN .Link and .Click are gone.

Yeah, this might be a let down because of the reg fee. But you never know, if all other 3N desired extensions get bought up, it might force buyers to get more 3N.io
