domain ninja(dot)io - appraisal please

I've acquired this domain a while ago with the intent of hosting my multiplayer game on it.(work in progress, to be released soon :D)

How/where would you valuate this domain?

However, more importantly, I'd like to know what future expectations of .io domains are in the eyes of more experienced domain traders.

Mid x.xxx. Seemed like a good gaming / tech related domain.

Maybe mid $xxx, seems like something that would thrive on flippa or park.io

I like the domain a lot. But I feel you paid all the normal 'juice' in the domain, and now will require an extra special sale to make a profit. There only like five ninja prior domain sales that I can find that are above mid four figures. Still cool desirable brand name on a perceived techy start-up type of extension. A good comparison might be robo dot io selling this year for 10k Good Luck

You are the end-user, and as a result, you paid end-user pricing. I think what you paid for it might be its ceiling, but there are always bigger fish out there.

I never sold the domain but decided to use it to host my ninja game.

I did receive offers to buy the domain, including one more than 10x of what I acquired it for.
Either way, I didn't expect .io domain appraisal to increase this much.
