Yes! You read right! The NHL and NHLPA have finally reached a new Collective Bargaining Agreement ending the LONGEST lockout in professional sports history!

301 brutal days for hockey fans without a game to watch! The deal, a 600 page document, would be voted upon now by the owners and players and a press conference is expected on Thursday, July 21, 2005 where the draft lottery for hockey phenom Sidney Crosby would be held.

Man, you guys don't know how great I feel right now! It's got to be one of the best days of my life :tu: !

Snake, you just made my day with this news. Hopefully we can quit watching baseball soon (no offense baseball fans) and take this sports party to the ICE. It seems like forever since we had hockey.

I can't wait for all the free agent signings. It'd be great to see big-name players accepting lower salaries to join a team. It'd be GREAT! There are over 400 free agents available, and some HUGE names are in there :tu: !

Ya, that is very true. Most teams have 3 or less players signed, so it should be pretty crazy.

This is interesting. I'm not a big hockey fan, but I do enjoy the sport and love going to the Stars games (even though I'm a Devils fanboy). Glad to see things get back to "normal".
