Domain name wire recently reported the following in two different reports.

#1 - "Google registered KioskForWork .com and KiosksForWork .com"

#2 - "Facebook has registered a handful of domain names suggesting it’s working on a service called WorkPlace…or a rebrand." [read more]

Are we looking at the start of a push towards the 'work from home' industry.

Internet speeds have gotten to the point where most of us could work from home, instead of commuting to the traditional office setting. Most importantly, should we all be registering "work" related domains like it's the next VR boom?

Absolutely some companies will stay remote after the pandemic over. I believe Jack Dorsey said Twitter employees can work from home going forward. Facebook looking to have 40% of employees transition to work from home.

Most of the good names were taken a long time ago.

In hindsight, their registrations were a result of the growth of WeWork.

They went from a real estate idea to a tech idea, and Google and Facebook noticed.

In today's pandemic economy, working from home is absolutely an important part of business.

For us, as in most niches, all of the good domains are registered.
