If they want to be seen as global, they need a .com really. I see a rebrand in the future as a possibility. Made is a great name, especially for them. Aquiring the .com of their current name might prove difficult and/or costly as Apple owns it and directs it to their site.

I don't think this will count officially as pure domain sale.

But as there is no stock involved, i think it's fair to say Next are acquiring Made primarily for the Made.com domain/brand.

If this was domain only, I'd say it's a decent deal both ways. But for everything that was included, I think the buyer is getting a steal.
