Hi,

I'm new to this or any other domain site. I used to flip domains back in the day, but haven't in a very long time.

Everything seems to be about search ratings now, with little or no value given to what I call 'memorable.'. What I mean is a name that specifically describes a business and basically can't be forgotten by their clients, because it's specific to that business. The names generally fetch an average of $200, so it's not a one shot deal, for sure, but can be recycled almost endlessly.

When appraising a name, do you ever give consideration for this, or is it all about rankings now? I'll save you trouble, I haven't listed those types of names here, lol.

Thanks much. It's interesting reading the posts by you domain vets!

'memorable' names still have their place in the market

and the term 'brandable', runs along the same line

For quick flipping you will not be happy with "brandable" names. You would need other types of domains. Brandable names are speculation, but could generate a good sale. Anyway, it is not sure when.

What I would say that short domain names, one word domain names are very liquid, you can cash anytime..
