I have question regarding trademark lets say for example i happen to came across situation where i can get my hand on to domain adidasshoes.com would that be against trademark policy? How does this trade mark policy works i try checking it out in FAQ area but i didnt find anything there. I'll appreciate if someone can help me out.

this inst my field so don't go by my opinion alone, but i think as long as you are not claiming to be Adidas, your ok. with that name, should be no problems, but please wait on more people to answer, cause its not my specialty

u cant reg "adidasshoes.com/.net/.biz/.etc" cuz it s TM infrigiment. when a name is a TM u will lose the name... u will drop the name after u ask for advice here or if u dont do that u will lose the name in WIPO. thats what would happen undoubtely
first of all: read many posts here in NP in the section "Legal issues & disputes" (im sorry if thats not the correct name)
search in google for TM, TM infrigiment and URDP and see these: WIPO and USPTO
be sure of one thing: dont reg or buy names like the one u wrote as an example

i dont have much knowledge about all this TM stuff thats why i asked but one of my friend who owns a domain waltdisney.tv from past two years and he havent lost his or anything. I came across very nice domain name so im just still waiting to see what more people says before i make my mind on it. I appreciate you guys helping me out here

im just trying to help u to stay away from big trouble, believe me
i think the most important advice i gave u was to read the section here in NP called "Legal issues & disputes"... do that. it wont take u more than an hour to read many many yhings about that and it isnt boring at all

Stay away from any trademark names. Its not the way to go. Anything with a brand in it, just run the opposite direction. Your friend will have a hard time selling that domain by the way.

You're thinking of an exception for something else and you're not even applying it correctly.

You may use such a name in certain circumstances, like free speech issues, but never in a commercial situation without the trademark owner's consent.

There are some definate trademrk issues out here today and I would highly suggest tha you dont buy domains like that. i thought the same thing about a week ago nd regd pgapreferred.com and thought I would make a million dollars but son found out that if anything I wouldnt even get my reg fee bck.

I agree stay away from trademark issues...not worth the risk!

Just dont say that you own adiadas and dont use any of there pictures or do anything that might upset them.
