i am looking to build myself an e-zine format website. i have a little programming knowledge and am a quick learner; however, there are time considerations and i want to get this thing done in as short a time as possible. can you please direct me to the best software for a newb to start working on a project of this nature?
let me rephrase to make the question more clear. in your opinion, what is the best webdevelopment software for a relative newb to start learning on and be able to pull off a fairly ambitious project(for a newb) in the least amount of time? thanks in advance.

so you want to hand build a ezine style website yourself but as quick as possible?

you will most likely want it the content to be a database

what do you server technology to you plan to use?

i would recomend php and mysql its very easy to pick up with mysql

if you wish to use php meet the manu

http://php.net/manual

here are some other sites
http://www.phpfreaks.com
http://www.codewalkers.com

the sites have tutorials code examples, loads of other bits and bobs to get you on your way.

also google will help find anything you need todo
and there are of course the forums here to help you :)

if you dont want to use php then ignore everything ive just typed B-) lol

You might also want to head over to www.hotscripts.com and look for an e-zine type portal system there...I think I've seen a few...Good luck! :)
