I Intend on spending $250 on buying some good domains. As a newbie I’ve read a lot and it’s time to do the work.

Hi

might be better to spend that amount on 1 domain, rather than trying to buy twenty five $10 names.

quality over quantity. is best way to start.

imo....

Agreed. Wish I would have done that when I started. Sniper vs Shotgun approach.

Lots of great deals for $250, as others have mentioned buy one really good domain or two at auction/wholesale instead of hand-registering available domains. Best of luck!

Good luck with your endeavors...I am also a newbie...my father had been in it for years and after he passed I acquired his large portfolio of many names acquired in the early 2000's....I wish you much luck! Believe me it is an everyday learning experience as my Dad and brother (who has been in it for years as well) taught me so much, but I have also taught myself over a period of time....wishing you well in all that you do!!!

Good Luck going Forward!

Avoid hyphenated domains.

Stick to your budget.

Use DotDB.com and DNpric.es to gauge the value of a particular word.

Welcome, Generalistsam.
If you've read a lot, you should know what doing with $250.
Don't think that domaing is easy and that you will get automatically a return of 10, 100 times the initial investment.
You could lose your $250 whether you buy 10 domains or just one.

Read many posts on NamePros, you will learn a lot.
Good luck!
