hey do you have suggestions for me? I'm not sure what about the site looks bad. It looks like an okay site to me, but it's not perfect.

Also, this was coded in notepad. And uses CSS and divs, look at the code.

Any SUGGESTIONS are welcome too.

You should darken the font's color and size it down a little. Try to center the whole thing and find another , perhaps more vivid background color/gradient. That should do good. But honestly, get your hands on Macromedia Studio & Photoshop and just start all over again.

Well, use the no.1 yardstick when assessing web sites (especially your own)

- If you had a need for the service your web site seeks to provide, would you use yourself (hypothetically) based solely on the design and info held on the website?

if the answer would be -no- then start again or redesign.. You would make it easy on yourself in the long run.. :)

The site is alright, It's not the best I've ever seen, but it's certinally not the worst.
In my opinion, I'd make it look more 'together' by adding a white background to the two text areas... to connect the top with the middle and then to the bottom. Also, in the text area, maybe add padding to the left and right sides so that the text isn't ridding right on the side of the box (however if you add a background, this wouldn't be needed, since you wouldn't have the grey area right outside of the block).

I hope thats understandable... I'm bad at explaining things. ha.

doesn't look particularly proffesional to me. if the designer is being paid, I'd say that's pretty bad. sorry, Allvalley-corey, I take it that you are the designer? anyway, the only thing I would say is good is it loads HELL FAST. That's it though.

First: choose some better, brighter, and contrasting colors.

Second: use either a really dark background, or really light background, don't use mid gray

Third: the left column is not top-aligned with the right column

Fourth: Get yourself a logo, not some random "messing around" abstract graphic

Fifth: some spelling mistakes :D

That's about it, I hope I helped, no hard feelings!

No offense to the designer but it looks like he's only just discovered CSS layout techniques and wants to try them out. It looks like something I would have created a year ago, there's nothing wrong with what he's trying to do, but there's no flow in the design, as in things don't flow together. It's really just a handful of boxes positioned next to each other.

My suggestions to the designer:
1. Remove the huge gaps between each box, let them flow together.
2. Use the top horizontal bar for the main navigation.
3. Introduce another colour to go with the blue.
4. Use headings properly, headings should be big, bold and aligned on the left with the content.
5. Don't try to change the padding on the input fields, they're too small.
6. Test in Firefox, IE6 and Opera and make fixes accordingly.
7. Use some graphics that relate to the content, for the header use a picture of a computer, or computer part.
8. Create or find icons for "Computer Repair", "Technical Support", etc...

The designer has potential, he just needs more practice I think. ;)

Change the font type and color and reduce it's size. Align it centrally, and use a good background color.
