New NP Chat Room?

Me and a few other members of NamePros (WILL NOT SAY WHO) were talking last night, and we would like to see a new room implemented here in the chat It will basically be an unrated room; you can say what you want, about who you want, when you want. But of course, keep the advertisement rule in play

If people think they might be offended, then they don't need to come in, but I don't think you get to see the real side of people, until you can get the full on 100% how they really act, not how they do under rules.

It's a bad idea, people will abuse it, take things the wrong way and just make it a horrible place to be. This is a place for business, not a place for you to go crazy.

whens the last time you have see some one in a room other than lobby unless it was live auction day??

id personally would like to see a whole new chat interface
and maybe see something like the ip shout box added to the bottom of every page also so we cant multi task here easier just my two pennies

I voted no.

A system that is integrated with the usernames and forbids guest access is extremely important for protecting business and reputation.

Chat issues happen sometimes, there are many other ways to communicate e.g. namepros pm system or msn.

An "adult" room may be possible but a room where all out bitching is allowed is a no no in my opinion. The rules we have aren't Orwell or anything, we just don't like swearing bad mouthing and posting dwarf porn etc.

I don't think they are un reasonable, a room where due respect is not regarded is a bad idea?

I like the real chat but chat isnt the problem is seems like the server is the problem.

I think this is an extremely bad idea. It does not matter whether you are easily offended or not, arguments happen and if there were a room where you could basically say anything, things would escalate dramatically.

This would end up spilling over onto the forum and cause bad karma and ill feeling between members.

Where do you draw the line? If you draw no lines, officially atleast, what lines of behavior, ethically and socially, would people cross? Dangerous & purely "asking for it", like most here have already stated.
