Sweet...I had gotten some generic Touch domains when the info about the Surface came out. Not SUPER good ones, but they might see some more action from this perhaps.

I think they'll now have a problem on their hands. What does a customer buy? a $299 Touch iPod or a $399 iPhone.

I think they're only cutting in their own market share. IMO, I would take the $399 iPhone over the touch iPod anyday, particularly now that the iPhone is just $399

Hmm maybe that can be done, I haven't seen it myself. All I know is that its a GSM phone and Verizon uses CDMA. The two networks don't mix and match and Verizon doesn't allow sim cards on their network (GSM technology). So more than likely they just branded their iPhones to look Verizonish.

10 Reasons many may pass on the phone but get the ipod.

1. Don't want AT&T.
2. Can't use AT&T since phone under a business phone contract.
3. In a contract with another carrier and can't switch yet.
4. ATT coverage not as good in an area, GSM data not as fast or available as CDMA.
5. Use a blackberry, treo, or nextel with special software functionality for phone services or radio capability.
6. Some reports said the iphone was a super mp3 player, but a Lousy phone .
7. Don't want to spend several hundred more on a phone data contract than a standard cell phone.
8. Don't want a "locked" phone limited to ATT and Apple apps.
9. The iphone doesn't have all the features they need. examples: Don't want a phone without tactile keys that can be used without looking, need voice dialing.
10. Don't want to spend that much on a telephone do to rough use, frequent loss, or frequent upgrades.
Bonus:
11. Don't want your phone service cut off when Apple sees you've registered one of their TM's.
:)
