Hi all, new here. Built a small portfolio of about 20 domains over the last several months focused on B2B SaaS category keywords — cybersecurity, AI governance, DevSecOps, India AI cities, voice AI/CCaaS.

Listed on Afternic with a tiered pricing model (Buy Now / Floor / Min Offer). Some are exact-match to active enterprise categories with well-funded buyers — non-human identity security after the CyberArk-Venafi $1.54B deal, secrets management after GitGuardian's $50M Series C, certificate lifecycle, K8s workload identity, voice deflection in CCaaS. Others are speculative bets — emerging India AI city projects, generic cybersec terms.

What I'm trying to figure out:

  1. For B2B-niche category dot-coms targeting enterprise end-users (not other domainers), how much does community feedback here actually predict end-user willingness to pay? I suspect there's a structural disconnect — domainers price by length and brandability, enterprise end-users price by category-fit. Would love perspectives from anyone who's sold category domains to funded SaaS buyers.
  2. Active outreach vs marketplace passive — what's worked? Planning LinkedIn outreach to CMOs at funded vendors in each category. Anyone here landed enterprise sales that way? What conversion rate is realistic?
  3. Gut-check on speculative bets: I have a couple of tier-2/3 Indian city + AI keyword combos (cities without official AI city designation) and one or two speculative cybersec terms that I'm less sure about. My instinct says these are weak — wholesale targets, or just hold and renew?

Happy to discuss specifics privately with anyone who has experience selling category domains to enterprise buyers.

Thanks for any input — trying to learn the craft from people who've done it longer.
