New Header Image - Please Review

I need a review of a design for a header. I want something slick, sophisticated, yet not too flashy. Ars Technica is a great example of what I am shooting for. I already had the logo made up from someone before and I have altered it a bit to fit my needs. The title of the site is The Computer Shack and it is computer tutorials, fixes, forum for absolutely nothing.

It's not bad, but pretty plain. What if you faded to a lighter colour on the right or faded to a pixelated design on the right. It just seems like there is a lot of blank space.

The whole idea is just being plane. I don't want it to be too out there.

i worked it out StudioWorks, the image is above the URL, at first i thought it was just a banner for imageshack
