Can u review this image which is a mockup of a new design for my site...

the real site is not so pixely so assume its really good looking.
The text below header image is also a mouseover and becomes like news.

If there is more text or content then the middle part with the text would just become longer and stretch.

looks pretty good, once its on a live page will probably look better, since it won't be that small then

for the header perhaps a subtle gradient of 2 blues would look nice

I like the bigger one... It's looking cool
