New Domain Tool at StartName.com!

We are still in beta but I thought I would get feedback on a new tool now available for use at startname.com

We have created a whois that will allow you to search multiple domains, check multiple extensions and check linkpop all at once. Not only does it check it, it saves the results for you and generates a link that you can use when you are selling your names in the sales forum.

Here is one example of saved results:

The whois can now be accessed from the StartName.com homepage or directly by visiting www.startname.com/whois.php

I noticed on your site, you have parked.com coming soon. Do you own that domain?

If so, and you need any sort of design / template skills needed, I would be more than glad to offer for free, to just be part of such a project.

Just as an update, the links to "saved results" will stay active for 7 days since it was last used. So you should have no worries about using a link and it ends up expiring on you. If someone uses it after that 7 day period, it will simply pull the results for you live again.

Please also note that we will be offering a linkpop tool that is similar to this in the sense that it will "save" results so that you can show people who are interested in selling your names to.

More great stuff to come! Launch has been pushed back to January 2004 because some of the projects I wanted to have completed are not yet finished.

Yeah, now I'm curious too. I know that I had "parked" a domain with dotster and I thought that it was serving up a single page like godaddy. But it wasn't, it was serving up a zillion popups and I was quite disgusted.

Thanks alot dotster. I have since fixed it and am in the process of moving my name. That really turns me off, as it's a scum-quality "park".

Just as an update, I have added more features to the whois section. You can now select which extensions you would like to check (and it will remember you for next time if you select "Remember Preferences"). I have also added the .us extension.

In terms of the "Ready to Register" section, it is almost live - you can visit http://www.startname.com/ready_to_register.php to see a complete list of names plus you can submit your own! If you do submit your own, please enter your name and email address along wiht your entries as I will be rewarding people for submitting great names As always though, the ready to register lists will be on the homepage too.
