Hello,

I just got my report for the month of March and it shows that my new blog has 10,000 plus unique visitors. So far the first week of April has recieved 3,000 plus so April looks to be on track for 12,000 plus unique visitors.

For those of you who have been successful in monetizing blog(s), I would appreciate any suggestions and or guidance on how I may be able to do the same.

TIA

What was your marketing, promotional strategy to get that number of visitors?

Hello

Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Regarding bots, can you please teach me how I can tell the difference between a bot and a unique visitor?

TIA

Congratulations!

I stated a new Blog with Wordpress a few months ago and also saw some crazy numbers like yours.... I put a couple of plug-in stat programs on it and then after a while (when I had a few extra hours) I sifted through and found just under 80% were bots, lol. Still, I'll take the 20% with actual browsers any day. Don't know what you're using for a platform, but a good free stat program is well worth the few minutes to install because you can figure out where and what type of traffic you're attracting, then aim for there.

I am not doing much for marketing, or promoting, perhaps the domain name is being picked up more quickly than usual for some reason.

I am trying to consistently publish content which I know is important also.

Thank you - What is your Google PR Rank?

Hello again, thank you.

By the way...I just checked my blog on this site and was amazed as it reported that my blog has PR3.

Do you know if this is bogus or if it is a good site?

I don't even know what page rank really means or if it even matters.

They both count as unique visitors to your blog but the real visitor will show the browser they used when they visited and the bots usually don't, that's how I tell'm apart. I use Firestats.

Congratulations! That's a lot of visitors for a new blog :)

I'm not sure about that one, but pr.blogflux.com is usually accurate for me [sometimes shows 0s though]

do you have analytics/adsense installed?

how exactly are you tracking the traffic?

Hi

I have a free reporting tool that is available with my hosting account that provides stats.

I also use google analytics also.

Oddly enough, the report from my host is the one that shows 10,000 unique visitors for the month, not Google webmaster tools.

One might conclude that the Hosting acct report would be more accurate as the blog is actually hosted on their server although I am not sure.

No adsense.
