Network Solutions/Snapnames & creation dates

Another item where I'd appreciate some actual user experience/feedback with the Network Solution drops - Snapnames and creation dates.

I picked up a .ORG through snapnames that came from Network Solutions and it kept its creation date (pure bonus for me). So now I have a nicely aged PR6.

But it looks this .NET that I'm currently in an auction for got a new creation date. Same scenario (Network Solutions-Snapnames-Snapnames Backordered Auction).

Anyone have any direct experience with .com & .net moving through the same path and what happened to their creation dates. Based on my experience I'd say .ORG keep their creation date wondering about other extensions.

I think the other thread has clarified things for you
It all depends if the name truly dropped or not. Names expiring with Network Solutions will be sent to snapnames roughly 35 days after expiry but they are not dropped yet... if nobody puts an order at snap then the name will be deleted and up for grabs..
I guess the .net has dropped hence the creation date was reset.

BTW other registrars send their expiring domains to snap: register.com, directi so you can ofte grab some good aged domains

Kate, I understand the other domain was kind of unique apparently.

The thing is with this current .net it was lsited as pending delete and reg'd at Network. I did the exact same thing that I had done to get my nicely aged .org. Placed the $60 opening bid on Snapnames.

The .org kept its age. This .net did not.

Just wondering what other people actually experiences have been. I'm guessing you've been able to keep the domain age with some com/nets domains coming from register and idirect. Thats good to know.

That's it As long as the domain does not drop it keep its vintage.
The .net went through redemption then pending-delete while the .org didn't.
So the creation date for .net was reset.

All the NetSol domains I've caught with SnapNames have kept their original creation date - com, net and org's and I've caught some NICE ones!
