But there's one thing that you need to know. For the first time signing up at Directnic your account might be locked but don't worry, just contact with support they will manual check and help you really fast.

I went ahead with directnic who are a little more expensive, I bought a few names on register.it a while back there while they had a 1 eur promo and I'm already regretting it, such a nightmare to do basic tasks like change DNS.

@iAchilles - Thanks, I tend to sign up first, ask questions later, I was considering them (once I found the English site!) now I'll hold off. Sometimes the hassle isn't worth it, in this case around a dollar once you convert currency and bank/pp fees.
