.Net, .Org, .US - Substantial price jump at GoDaddy

.net and .org now are $13.99 and .US is $18.99 at GD.

These are big jumps that should make .com more desirable to some hard-to-measure degree.

The article does not say .us is $18.99, but I just called my rep. and he said they are now $18.99 and he also said .TV just came down a little, but he was not sure how much.

If you are a volume customer, though you can still get the $7.38 on .net, .org and .us, I was told.

Agree. Godaddy is smart enough that they offer the cheapest .com while encouraging the consumer to sign up for .net, .org version of their .com by giving some percentage of discount if they register all those the same time ( I always get ads like register .net, org and .us together now and you can save up to 15% from godaddy while checkout). Finally consumer end up taking the offers. (assuming that the customer didn't register .com at godaddy and .net at fabulous all the time: people tends to be lazy hehehe )

After all, not a very big problem for us, domainers as we can always transfer domains over to cheaper registrar like moniker and fabulous. it just more works for us. we are spoiled by them already.

Now the question is how much off the new GD coupons will get us all. I really want to stay with GD bcos its the industry standard, and if the coupons don't get us that much off anymore, i might join the domain discount club..... what has GD done.....

ive just renewed a couple of domains there, unfortunately the discount coupons posted elsewhere here on np does not work but I have to stay with them they're the industry's standard.
