About Us
Nerdpoint was launched around June 6th 2006 by Anthony Bullock of MicroVisuals and quickly people mostly from talkfreelance joined to support his good cause. Like always Anthony sells his projects once they are about a month old so Dave (Digit) and myself (Stan) bought this lovely community from him. The forums are for anyone wanting to chit chat about common subjects such as movies music gaming and even get into debates on topics like abortion or capital punishment. So this is where we cordially invite all of you to take a look at our forum and sign up or not, as long as we can say we tried.
Why should you sign up?
Well because we are a great bunch of people, and the forums continue to grow everyday. Another incentive, which this idea was taken from someone else but is kinda neat, is that from this week on, I will be buying a powerball lottery ticket each week and if pigs start to fly and I win, I will split 50% of the jackpot with all of our active members. (If it was only 5 million I was splitting, and we currently have ~160 members, each member would get ~32k.) I will take a picture of each weeks ticket and post it for all of you to verify the #'s if you would like. This alone makes it worth the 30 seconds to register and make a few posts here and there. Also every quarter Nerd point will be giving out awards based on top referrers, top posters, best thread starter, and most helpful. Each of the winners will recieve a $10.00 Best Buy or Amazon card.
We are also looking for help!
Nerd point is looking for article writers who can write articles on anything related to the categories on our site. Whether its a review on a new mac, or an article on web dev stuff or a review on a movie you saw last night, we need people who can write articles on a weekly basis. Interviews would also be great, and if you have any old articles you have written laying around, you could go ahead and post those as well. Article writers are part of our staff and thus will recieve some extra privelages.
Advertising Rates for August 06
Well traffic has increased and so has the demand for links. Thus our prices have been upped a little. The new prices are:
$20.00 for a sitewide 468x60 banner. (Max of 5)
$5.00 for a text link in the footer.

Final note
Nerdpoint is also assembling a decent size contest and is looking for sponsors of any sort, whether you could offer a free hosting account or some free domains or a webdesign or anything of that nature please contact me and we can work something out.
