Hello. I found a domain for expired domains, in the hotel industry.
The name I got hold of the "name" hotel.com

I will not say which hotel it is because, whats why i have marked it in "name"

The name is registered since 2001. I contacted the hotel webdeveloper, and he just own now hotel"name" .com - He told me that it was a mistake it was expired. Now he is wants to buy the domain back.

He is ready to pay 275 for the domain and I bought it for 20 bucks.

What should I do? Tomorrow morning he will talk to the owner of the hotel.

I would not want anyone else to have my domain if I would be in the hotel industry as it can be dangerous for the company.

If the domain is from a small family business, I'd try to sell it with a low profit making sure the previous owners get their domain back. If your domain is from a huge hotel chain, that would be a different story...

If it is a small business aka small hotel let em have it back. They got you a reasonable price for your trouble too.

I'm thinking this is one of those instances you should take the money and move on as well. Unless we're talking about some major hotel chain or something, this is probably the only buyer who is going to come wanting to get it from you. It's a nice profit already which gives you some funds to keep investing!

I'd counter at $1,000.

If they were serious businessmen in a high exposure industry like the hotel industry, where you always get exposed to Tripadvisor, it's difficult to imagine why they would not trademark their "name".

If they do have a trademark for it, i don't know how anyone could make any "end-user" use of that "name"hotel.com domain. They could stonewall you holding that domain forever and you'll be stuck with it.

But as long as you keep your asking price below the UDRP filing fees, buying you out is a lot cheaper for them and less hassle.
