Need some help with Snapnames!

Yestarday I acquired domain thorugh snapnames.com. I paid 59$. This is my first time to buy a domain this way so I need some help.

I received a confirmation email that they moved my domain to Moniker.com and that my domain was registered with WillametteNames.com.

When I type WillametteNames.com in URL bar I am transfered back to snapsnames.

I am pretty confused because there are 3 companies involved. Is registration for 1 year already included in the price? Should I transfer my domain name to NameCheap, Godaddy or I can leave my domain as it is?

You need to go to www.moniker.com and login to your account. I assume you already have a moniker account.

You can leave it as it is if you are happy with the moniker user interface. There is nothing to worry about. If you want you can transfer it to namecheap or elsewhere after 60 days of creation date.

Snapnames uses those extra registrars that exist only on paper to increase their chances in dropcathing. When a domain drops snapnames assigns 50 different registrars to try to register it at the same second. Moniker and snapnames belong to the same company called "oversee". That other registrar WillametteNames.com belongs to them as well.

Being very careful when dealing with Snapnames and Moniker. I don't think it would be a stretch to say they have a history of some pretty "shady" business practices. That's all I'm allowed to say due to legal reasons.

Afaik by default they create a new account for you at Moniker (even if you already have one there) and push the name into it. There could be a delay of up to 24 hours before that happens.

Moniker have good and bad points, but they do have legacy bugs in their systems so always check everything twice in your Moniker account. Seriously.
